The Band Perry will be working with former Dixie Chicks producer Rick Rubin on their forthcoming new album, frontwoman Kimberly Perry revealed in a recent interview with OK! magazine.
"It's exciting, and we certainly feel the responsibilities and the pressure to deliver," Perry said of the new album, which she said is about halfway done. "So I'll be excited once we finish the record, and we're really proud of it."
The band's sophomore album will serve as the follow-up to their breakthrough self-titled debut, which spawned Top 20 hit singles, "Hip to My Heart," "If I Die Young," "You Lie," "All Your Life," and "Postcard from Paris," two of which charted at number one--"If I Die Young" and "All Your Life." The group has sold over 1.2 million copies to date.
