The Cult have released a new album, Choice of Weapon, their latest since 2007's Born into This.
Speaking with the Union Leader, guitarist Billy Duffy says the band is always working on new stuff, despite the lengthy delay:
"There's sort of a natural order of things with The Cult where time passes and people probably don't think we're doing anything, but it takes a while for me and Ian to get into the same creative space. In terms of what we achieved, our goal was just not to make a stodgy, middleaged sounding record, and I think we very much achieved that."
"I like the idea of waiting for your prey in the shadow, and then striking at the right moment," added frontman Ian Astbury to Metro.Us.
The Cult continue their North American tour on Friday, June 9 at Terminal 5 in New York City.
