AC/DC Plan New Album And Tour
6/10/2012 10:29 AM ET

AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson, during an interview with a Bay Area radio station, dished on the group's upcoming plans for a new record and tour.

"I'll be getting together with [AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young] in a couple of weeks, and then we're going to London to meet up with Angus [Young, AC/DC lead guitarist], hopefully. And that's usually how we'll start," he said regarding the group's rehearsal/writing plans.

He added that the success of the band's previous tour bodes well for a future tour:

"Well, I think it wouldn't be like the last one. That was two years . . . just nuts. For guys our age at the time, to tour the world to sell-out audiences everywhere, it gives you a good feeling. And the great thing was to look out into the audiences and have a look at the generations of people . . . I mean, it was unbelievable . . . Kids there that were 7-8 [years old], teenagers."
