Noel Gallagher almost landed a spot on Strictly Come Dancing, a BBC reality television series. According to U.K. tabloid The Sun, the High Flying Birds frontman was approached by the producers about joining the show, but had to turn them down due to scheduling conflicts.

"I'm flattered. I'd have done it and all," Gallagher told The Sun. "Sadly though, I'm a bit busy. Maybe next time."

A source at the BBC also told the paper that the producers were very keen to try and land Gallagher:

"The show gets huge viewing figures and the bookers behind the show are very much of the opinion 'if you don't ask, you don't get.' They knew from the off it was ambitious but they thought it might be something that tickled him."

The former Oasis member will be on the road all summer touring with his new band, making stops at a number of large festivals, including V Festival, Isle Of Wight Festival, Jersey Live and iTunes Festival.
