Cyprus' merchandise trade deficit decreased from the previous month in April, data released by statistical office Cystat showed Tuesday.
The trade deficit dropped to EUR354.70 million in April from EUR391.37 million in March. In April 2011, the trade balance was a deficit of EUR401.32 million.
Export of goods increased to EUR138.26 million in April from EUR124.14 million in the previous month, while imports deceased to EUR492.95 million from EUR515.51 million, data showed.
