JetBlue Airways May Traffic Up 7.4% - Quick Facts

JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU: Quote) reported that its traffic in May 2012 increased 7.4% from May 2011, on a capacity increase of 4.6%.

The airline said its May 2012 traffic rose 7.4% to 2.73 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 2.55 billion RPMs in the same period last year.

The airline's May 2012 capacity was 3.22 billion available seat miles or ASMs, up 4.6% from 3.08 billion ASMs in the prior year period.

Load factor for May 2012 was 84.8%, up 2.2 points from 82.6% reported in May 2011.

For the month of June, passenger revenue per available seat mile or PRASM is expected to increase between three and four percent year over year.
