Lionel Richie surprised fans with a special performance alongside country legend Kenny Rogers at the recent Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. The pair connected on stage for a performance of their duet "Lady," which appears on Lionel's recent country album Tuskegee.
Lionel originally penned and produced "Lady" for Rogers in the 1980s and it went on to become one of the biggest hits of Kenny's career. In addition to performing "Lady" with Kenny Rogers, Lionel also took the lead for a rendition of his classic track "All Night Long."
Rogers is not the only country artist to appear alongside Lionel Richie in recent months. Tuskegee is packed with country collaborators including Blake Shelton, with whom Lionel appeared in a recent behind-the-scenes video.
"I didn't realize how funny Blake is!" the music icon told TheBoot.com.
Other Nashville stars featured on the album include Rascal Flatts, Willie Nelson, Jason Aldean and Darius Rucker.
