Japan is on Thursday scheduled to release final April figures for industrial production, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

Little change is expected from last month's preliminary reading that suggested a 0.2 percent monthly gain and a 13.4 percent annual increase, while capacity utilization was called higher by 1.3 percent on month.

Australia will see consumer inflation expectations for June; in May, they were at 3.1 percent.

New Zealand will provide May numbers for food prices; they down 0.1 percent on month and flat on year in April.
