Coastal Contacts Inc. (COA.TO: Quote) Thursday reported second-quarter loss of C$0.2 million or breakeven per share, compared to earnings of C$0.1 million or breakeven per share last year.
Sales for the quarter grew to C$48.2 million from C$43.8 million last year. Gross margin, or gross profit as a percent of sales, dropped to 43 percent from 44 percent last year.
