Synutra International Inc. (SYUT) Thursday reported a profit for the fourth quarter compared to a loss last year, due mainly to higher revenues.
The Rockville, Maryland-based company's fourth-quarter net profit attributable to common shareholders was $7.52 million or $0.13 per share, compared to a net loss of $8.54 million or $0.15 per share last year.
Total revenues for the quarter grew to $85.37 million from $79.29 million in the prior-year quarter.
Looking ahead, the company expects full fiscal year 2013 net income in the range of $55 million to $65 million. Revenues for the year are anticipated in the range of $400 million to $420 million.
