Aberdeen International Inc. (AAB.TO: Quote) posted first-quarter net earnings of $15.9 million or $0.18 per share, compared to $3.9 million or $0.04 per share in the year-ago quarter.
Total revenue for the quarter was $18.5 million, up from $3.1 million in the comparable quarter last year.
During the quarter ending April 30, 2012, 101,900 common shares were purchased for cancellation at an average cost of $0.57. Subsequent to April 30, 2012, the company has purchased for cancellation an additional 384,900 common shares at an average cost of $0.46.
