Sage Names Donald Brydon Chairman, Effective September 1 - Quick Facts

Technology firm Sage Group Plc (SGE.L) on Friday announced the appointment of Donald Brydon, CBE as a non-executive Director and Chairman designate. He will join the Board on July 6 and will succeed Tony Hobson as Chairman on September 1.

Donald Brydon is currently Chairman of Smiths Group Plc and Royal Mail Group Ltd. Since 1996, he has been Chairman of Amersham Plc, TNS Plc, London Metal Exchange, and the international children's development charity EveryChild, and SID of Allied Domecq Plc and Scottish Power Plc.

He was previously Chairman and CEO of BZW Investment Management and AXA Investment Managers, in addition to acting as CEO of BZW. He will step down from the Boards of AXA Investment Managers SA and AXA Rosenberg LLP this month.
