The Japanese yen extended its previous session's strength against most major currencies in the European session on Friday.
The yen is now trading at 3-day highs of 82.68 against the franc, 99.29 against the euro and 76.94 against the loonie.
Against the greenback, the yen is now trading at a 9-day high of 78.65.
