Emulex Corp. (ELX) said that Fred Cox, Emulex co-founder and current Chairman Emeritus, will not seek re-election to the Board at this year's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
Fred Cox served as CEO of Emulex for more than 12 years, from the company's inception until he retired from active management in October 1990. Cox then served as Emulex's non-executive chairman for an additional eight years. His planned retirement from the Board in November will mark 34 years of continuous service to the company.
