The Reuters and the University of Michigan's preliminary report on the consumer sentiment index for June is scheduled to be released at 9:55 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the greenback fell against the pound, it moved sideways against the yen, euro and the franc.
At 9:50 am ET, the greenback traded at 78.70 against the yen, 0.9531 against the franc, 1.2604 against the euro and 1.5617 against the pound.
