Adams Express Chairman And CEO Douglas Ober To Retire - Quick Facts

Adams Express Co. (ADX: Quote) announced that the Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and lead portfolio manager, Douglas Ober, will retire from the company within the next eighteen months.

Ober, 66, joined the Company as a research analyst in 1980 and has been the lead portfolio manager since April 1, 1991.

The company said that its board is retaining an outside search firm to assist in the selection of Ober's successor.

China Manufacturing Contracts As New Orders Slump

China's manufacturing sector contracted for the first time in seven months in May amid poor demand, fueling concerns that the weakness in the economy may persist for some more time.
