Darius Rucker has been hard at work on songs for a new studio release and says that the the new crop has a "brighter" feel than his last record.
While speaking with tasteofcountry.com at the 2012 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, he said the LP should be out soon:
"The record will be out in the fall, I think in October. The new single should be out sometime soon . . . here in the next couple of weeks."
"Hopefully it has a brighter sound with different songs," notes Rucker.
"We just try to do something a little bit different every time to sound a little bit different and to make records that people want to listen to. I don't think [the process of making albums] ever gets easy, but it's fun. It's never old hat. That's the best part about being a songwriter," he adds.
