Fitch Ratings said Friday that it has affirmed its ratings on The Travelers Companies, Inc. (TRV), including the 'A+' Issuer Default Rating.
The Rating Outlooks are Stable.
Fitch said Travelers Companies' ratings continue to be founded on its strong competitive position, history of solid earnings and prudent capital management.
A heavy catastrophe year in 2011 challenged Travelers Companies' earnings, Fitch note and added that it continues to monitor the company's investment concentration in municipal bonds.
