Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, passed away on Saturday in Switzerland.
The Prince had been suffering from illness over the last few months, and was under treatment in Switzerland since May. There were reports that the Prince had been under cancer treatment, but it was never officially confirmed.
Prince Nayef was named crown prince in 2011 after the death of the previous crown prince, Sultan bin Abdul Aziz. Prince Nayef had served as interior minister since 1975.
Funeral prayers will be held on Sunday following sunset prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
