An Army General of Yemen was killed when a suicide-bomber struck his convoy in the country's south on Monday morning.
Gen. Salem Ali Qatan was killed and four of his security guards were injured when the suicide bomber targeted his convoy while passing through the Reemi neighborhood of the port city of Aden, reports quoting police officials said.
Army Commander of the country's southern region, Gen. Qatan was currently leading an offensive against al-Qaeda militants in the country's south and had recaptured several of their strongholds in the restive Abyan province.
