Jason Aldean, speaking on the red carpet at the 2012 CMT Music Awards, says that he is prepping a new single, "Take a Little Ride," for release this summer.
"[The first single] is a song called 'Take a Little Ride'," revealed Aldean. "I think it should be coming out in the next three or four weeks, something like that . . . right in time for summer. Then the album's coming out in the fall." "I've been in the studio working on it and kind of putting the finishing touches on it. So it is officially done. We're ready for people to hear it. I'm excited," he added.
My Kinda Party, Aldean's breakout fourth studio album, was released in November 2010 and has sold over two million copies to date.
The accompanying tour picks up on July 12 at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario; it continues through late October.
