Nickelback's Chad Kroeger Says Band Will Never Make Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame

Chad Kroeger says he does not expect a nomination to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame anytime soon. The Nickelback guitarist says critical backlash against the group has precluded acknowledgement of their achievements:

"We may be dead by then, but I think the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will probably show up the same time as our first Grammy," he said to the Edmonton Journal.

Nickelback has recently been attacked by the Black Keys as well as a group of Detroit Lions fans who protested their appearance as halftime entertainment during a game.

Kroeger says that negative press is still press and, as such, it is good for the band's notoriety:

"When the whole thing was going on with the petition and, you know, the NFL was calling us twice a day going, 'Oh, my God, we're so happy. The viewership just went up by 15 million.'"
