Katy Perry has premiered the video for "Wide Awake," the last single from her smash Teenage Dream LP.
Perry, in an interview with MTV News, said the song and vid sum up where her journey as a celebrity has taken her:
"It's kind of like the labyrinth of my life in the past two years. I just wanted to tell a story about myself kind of going through this journey, maybe sometimes trying to get out of the maze. There's good parts and bad parts."
A younger version of Perry helps the elder through the "maze" of stardom, steering her past paparazzi and a false-hearted beau:
"In this music video, I came out at the other end learning a lesson and feeling strong enough to get back out on that stage," she added.
