Alec Baldwin was reportedly in a scuffle with a photographer in New York City earlier this week while obtaining a marriage license for he and his fiancé Hilaria Thomas. According to a report from the New York Post, Baldwin became enraged after he was approached by paparazzo Marcus Santos.

A series of images released by the New York Post show Baldwin angrily lunging at the man, who appears to be dodging backwards. Santos claims that he was punched in the face by the "30 Rock" star.

"He was looking mad," said Santos. "He said, 'Step back, step back.' I said, 'We're moving back.'"

According to Santos that's when things turned violent:

"He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me — one time, right in the chin. And then he started shoving me, and pushing me. Then he goes the other way."

A rep for the actor has released an official statement, however, claiming that the cameraman was the true aggressor:

"The photographer was clearly frustrated, pushed past the bystanders and assaulted Alec with his camera," the statement continued. "There were no punches thrown, and any subsequent physical contact was simply Alec protecting himself."
