NetDimensions To Support Talent Management Strategy For China's Metersbonwe

6/20/2012 3:55 AM ET

NetDimensions (Holdings) Limited (NETD.L), a Hong Kong-based provider of performance, knowledge and learning management systems, on Wednesday said its Talent Suite has been selected by Chinese casual wear/apparel company Metersbonwe to support its talent management strategy.

According to the company, Metersbonwe needed an integrated solution that will address its 20,000 employees' increasing training and talent management requirements to cope with ongoing rapid expansion.

The solution must also work well with Metersbonwe's corporate culture, it said.

Metersbonwe's talent management strategy starts with online learning and exams for all of its employees at directly operated chain stores and subsidiaries. The second stage will target training managers at headquarters and regional training centers, focusing on optimizing blended training strategies. Finally, the company will set up a competency model that matches talent development programs with learning resources to help develop HR and business training personnel.

Wu Yue, General Manager of Metersbonwe University, said, "We chose NetDimensions as our strategic partner because of their expertise in developing learning and performance management solutions. After several months of evaluating potential vendors, we chose the NetDimensions Talent Suite because its features and capabilities fit very well with our talent management strategy."

In London, NetDimensions shares are currently trading at 33 pence, down 1.25 pence or 3.65 percent.

A leading indicator of Australian economic activity continued to signal above-trend growth for the economy in the coming quarters, a report from Westpac and Melbourne Institute showed Wednesday. The annualized growth rate of the leading index, which indicates the likely pace of economic activity three to nine months into the future, was 5.4 percent in April, comfortably above its long term trend. Publishing and design software maker Adobe Systems Inc. said Tuesday after the markets closed that its second quarter profit fell 66% from last year, hurt by lower revenue as well as higher costs and expenses. However, the company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, came in above analysts' expectations and its quarterly revenue was in line with analysts' forecast. Stocks showed a strong upward move over the course of the trading day on Tuesday, adding to the gains posted in the previous session. The rally came even as traders expressed some uncertainty ahead of tomorrow's Federal Reserve announcement. The major averages gave back some ground going into the close but remained firmly in positive territory.
