Discovery Air Inc. (DA_A.TO: Quote, DCVRF.OK), a Canadian specialty aviation company, on Wednesday said it has appointed Brian Semkowski as interim President and Chief Executive Officer upon David Jennings stepping down.
Concurrent with these changes, Semkowski resigned his post as a director, and Jennings joined the Board. Jennings will also serve as a strategic advisor to Discovery Air.
Semkowski, a director of Discovery Air since 2008, will continue in the new roles until a permanent replacement for Jennings is hired. The company said its Board intends to commence the search for Jennings' replacement immediately.
Jennings served as the President and Chief Executive Officer since September 12, 2008. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Top Aces Inc., a unit of Discovery Air, which he co-founded with two other partners in 2001.
The company noted that Jennings is credited for leading it through a difficult period and establishing a solid foundation for future growth.
