The Jim Henson Company is developing a new Muppets television series titled "No Strings Attached" that will appear on the BBC. The lead writer on the new program is Danny Baker, a longtime writer for and presenter on British television.
Baker hit Twitter earlier this week to let the cat out of the bag:
"I'm writing the new Muppet/Puppet show for BBC/Henson. There I've said it."
Baker joins a team of veterans from the Henson company including lead puppeteer Brian Henson and puppet makers from Henson's own production shop in Los Angeles. The series will feature the Muppets spending time with two celebrities each week and hosting games.
It will appear on BBC1, and the network calls the series a "warm, cheeky, family affair fuelled by a healthy dose of off-the-wall, madcap fun."
