Pearl Jam's former chief financial manager has been charged with stealing $380,000 from the band over the course of several years. Rickey Goodrich served as the chief financial officer of the band's management firm Pearl Jam Touring Company and was initially hired in 2005.
In 2006, he was he promoted to CFO of Curtis Inc, the management company run by the band's manager Kelly Curtis. It is alleged that Goodrich in 2010 had been embezzling money from the company, which he spent on lavish vacations, spa treatments, life insurance policies and rare California wines.
"He was responsible for, and had complete authority over all financial matters related to Pearl Jam's touring operations, which included establishing budgets, approving court settlement statements with promoters, distributing 'road cash' to band and crew members and approving and paying for tour expenses," according to an official court document.
If convicted, Goodrich could face between three and five years in prison.
