Germany's Economic Activity Set To Moderate, Says Finance Ministry

Germany's economic activity is likely to moderate over the rest of the year, the Finance Ministry said in a report on Thursday.

Tax revenues fell 4.3 percent in May from a year ago. The government collected EUR 40.26 billion as tax in May. During January to May, revenues grew 3.6 percent.

Nonetheless, the central bank forecast economic momentum to gain pace in the second half of the year. Bundesbank projects 1 percent growth for this year.
