Apogee Enterprises Inc. (APOG) reported first quarter EPS of $0.06 after the bell Wednesday, compared to the loss of $0.08 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.03. The company also increased its full year 2013 EPS forecast to between $0.48 and $0.58, from previous expectations of $0.40 to $0.50. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $0.49.
Apogee Enterprises gapped open higher Thursday and has continued to gain ground in early trade. Shares are now up 1.09 at $16.24. The stock is now challenging the highs of the year, trading at over a one-month high.
