The Australian currency edged down further against major rivals during new York afternoon deals on Thursday. The Aussie is presently trading near a 6-day low of 1.0058 versus the US dollar and a 3-day low of 1.2496 versus the euro, compared yesterday's close of 1.0196 and 1.2470, respectively.
The Australian unit also slipped against its Japanese counterpart in today's afternoon session and as of now worth 80.62 from early high of 81.60.
