BGC Partners Prices $100 Mln Offering Of 8.125% Senior Notes

BGC Partners Inc. (BGCP: Quote) Thursday priced a $100 million underwritten public offering of 8.125 percent senior notes due June 15, 2042. The offering will close on June 26, 2012.

The company intends to use the proceeds to repay short-term borrowings under its unsecured revolving credit facility, and for general corporate purposes.

The notes are expected to be redeemable, in whole or in part, at any time on or after June 26, 2017, at a redemption price equal to 100 percent of the principal amount redeemed plus accrued and unpaid interest to, but excluding, the redemption date.

There was a mixed performance on Wall Street on Friday. Shares suffered an early decline, as investors continued to express worries about the Federal Reserve. After reporting a sharp drop in new orders for manufactured durable goods in the previous month, the Commerce Department released a report on Friday showing that durable goods orders rebounded by more than anticipated in the month of April. The report said durable goods orders surged up by 3.3 percent in April after tumbling by a revised 5.9 percent in March.
