Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. (UBNT: Quote) announced that on June 20, the U.S. federal court for the Northern District of California granted the Company's application for a temporary restraining order enjoining Kozumi USA Corp. and its owner Shao Wei Hsu and anyone in active concert or participation with them from: using in any manner any registered trademark owned by Ubiquiti, or any name or mark that wholly incorporates or is confusingly similar to Ubiquiti's trademarks; moving, destroying, or otherwise disposing of any items confusingly or deceptively similar to Ubiquiti's products and that bear any of Ubiquiti's trademarks.

The company said it had filed a lawsuit seeking to stop the illegal counterfeiting of its products by a counterfeiting ring led by Kozumi and Hsu.

According to the complaint, Hsu engaged in intellectual property theft, illegal manufacturing and sale of counterfeit Ubiquiti Networks products, fraudulent registration of Ubiquiti trademarks overseas and attempted extortion.

In addition, the complaint asserted that Hsu has recently acted in accomplice with the owner of a counterfeit factory in China in spreading malicious and false rumors about Ubiquiti in an attempt to obstruct Ubiquiti's brand protection efforts.
