Rihanna will lend her voice to one of the lead characters in the upcoming animated film The True Meaning of Smekday.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, RiRi will play opposite Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons in DreamWorks Animation's adaptation of Adam Rex's book of the same title.
The creative team behind the animated flick includes director Tim Johnson (Antz and Over the Hedge), screenwriters Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember (Get Smart), and producer Suzanne Buirgy (Kung Fu Panda 2).
The True Meaning of Smekday is scheduled for release in 2014. Rihanna made her big screen debut earlier this summer in Battleship. The singer-turned-actress played a strong-willed weapons specialist in the summer action blockbuster.
