Charlie Sheen has been attached to director Robert Rodriguez' sequel to his grindhouse flick, "Machete." Sheen is pegged for the role of America's president.
Rodriguez dished the news via Twitter on Thursday, June 21:
"I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon . . ."
Sheen later retweeted the message and a rep for the actor confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he is currently in talks.
"Machete" also stars Danny Trejo (Machete), Jessica Alba, Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara and Zoe Saldana.
The sequel follows Machete as he is called upon by the U.S. government to stop a cartel leader and an arms dealer who have a weapon in space.
On June 12, Rodriguez tweeted that principle photography for the film was underway.
