Nigel Godrich, producer for Radiohead, has a new show on 3net called From the Basement, and already has revealed an impressive lineup of guests, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foster the People.
The program, which was developed from his podcast of the same name, will feature six, hour-long installments. In a statement, Godrich said the show will be performer-driven:
"My own personal goal is that in the future some of these performances might be seen as the truest representation of the state of these artists' work, captured in a way that lets their talents speak - without the interference of presenters or audience."
The performances will be shot in 3D, Godrich added to Entertainment Weekly:
". . . the technology is so good and it looks so amazing. When you see a photograph of an Impressionist painting, it doesn't really make sense until you go to France and stand in the museum and watch this thing vibrate in front of your face. It really is another level of intimacy, and it really translates in a really sophisticated way."
