With their latest long player Clockwork Angels, Rush has matched the highest-charting position of their career, taking the No. 2 slot on the Billboard 200 chart by selling 103,000 copies its first week out.

The new album marks the band's highest sales showing since 2002's Vapor Trails, which sold 110,000 units. Rush also previously had a No.2 hit with their 1993 album, Counterparts.

Rush plans on celebrating the success of Clockwork Angels with a massive North American tour this fall. The "Clockwork Angels Tour" sets off at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, on September 7 and continues for 33 days before wrapping up at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, on December 2.

The band is expected to perform "a major portion" on the upcoming tour, guitarist Alex Lifeson tells Rolling Stone.
