The Swiss National Bank and National Bank of Poland on Monday concluded a Swiss franc/zloty swap agreement.
The facility enables Poland's central bank to provide Swiss franc liquidity to banks in Poland. All swap transactions require the SNB's prior approval. The term of the swaps is one week.
"The two central banks do not anticipate that this agreement, which has been concluded as a precautionary measure, will need to be called upon," the SNB said in a statement.
