Journal Broadcast Purchases Two Radio Stations In Tulsa From Renda Broadcasting

Journal Broadcast Group, a subsidiary of Journal Communications, Inc. (JRN: Quote), said Monday that it has completed the purchase of 106.9 KHTT FM and 92.9 BOB FM in Tulsa, OK, from Renda Broadcasting Corporation.

The acquired 106.9 KHTT FM is a contemporary hits station and 92.9 BOB FM is an adult Contemporary Variety station.

Journal Broadcast Group already owns 98.5 KVOO FM, 99.5 KXBL FM, and 1170 KFAQ FM in Tulsa.

Red Hat Inc., the world's largest seller of Linux software, said Wednesday after the markets closed that its first quarter profit rose 8% from last year, as revenue increased 15% amid strong consumer demand.
