Japan Corporate Service Price Index Rises 0.1% On Year In May

An index measuring corporate service prices in Japan was up 0.1 percent on year in May, the Bank of Japan said on Tuesday, standing at 96.1.

That was below forecasts for an increase of 0.3 percent following the 0.2 percent gain in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, the index was down 0.4 percent after showing a flat reading in April.

By category, prices were down for advertising services and communications - while prices were up for transportation and leasing.
