China's public debt increased to $751.3 billion at the end of March, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) said Tuesday.
The "registered" foreign debt amounted to $480.2 billion. Outstanding short-term debt stood at $557.7 billion during the period.
During the January-March period, long-term external debt totaled $ 9.267 billion, down 34.27 percent from last year.
