Following the release of Conference Board's consumer confidence report for June at 10:00 am ET, the US dollar held steady against its major opponents. As of 10:01 am ET, the greenback was trading at 1.5613 against the pound, 79.43 against the yen, 1.2482 versus the euro and 0.9623 against the Swiss franc.
