Nathan Blankenship, a Tennessee school teacher was booted from a Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw Brothers of the Sun tour stop in Nashville on Saturday, June 23, he says, because he looks like Chesney.
Blankenship hit Twitter to complain of the ejection:
"Just got kicked out of [Kenny Chesney] concert because drunk people thought I was actually him. No refund . . . so mad."
He was approached by security, who claimed that he was "purposefully trying to impersonate a celebrity." Security then escorted him from LP Field.
"I think the way they handled it made it seem worse, like they were really escorting Kenny Chesney through the crowd," Blankenship said in an interview with local news affiliate WKRN.
Kenny's publicist has issued a statement saying that he was not aware of the incident.
