Lady Gaga was hit with a lawsuit last year over allegations that she had profited from the sale of charity wristbands she designed to raise money after the Japan earthquake/tsunami disaster. The wrist bands read "We Pray for Japan."
The charity's website stated that all proceeds would directly go to relief funds. However, the lawsuit claimed that the sales tax and $4 charge for shipping created additional funds that were not donated.
Public court records show that around $1.5 million was raised for the victims of the tsunami disaster.
Gaga has agreed to donate $107,500 to a charity which will benefit those affected by the disaster. Under terms of the settlement, Gaga and her co-defendants also deny the suit has any merit, reports The Detroit News.
