Extending its morning session's uptrend, the Australian currency traded further higher against major opponents in New York afternoon trading on Tuesday. Presently, the Aussie is trading near new multi-day highs of 1.0079 against the US dollar and 1.2405 versus the euro, compared to yesterday's closing values of 1.0013 and 1.2495, respectively.
The Australian unit also edged up further against the New Zealand dollar and the Japanese yen in today's afternoon session. The Aussie is currently trading near 1.2719 against the kiwi and 80.15 versus the yen from early European session's lows of 1.2679 and 79.49, respectively.
