Kewaunee Scientific Q4 Profit More-Than-Triples

Kewaunee Scientific Corp. (KEQU: Quote) Tuesday reported a sharp increase in profit for the fourth quarter, due mainly to higher revenues.

The Statesville, North Carolina-based company's attributable net profit for the fourth quarter was $1.26 million or $0.49 per share, compared to $252 thousand or $0.10 per share last year.

Total revenues for the quarter grew 8 percent to $28.99 million from $26.95 million in the prior-year quarter.
