"You're a Lie," is Slash's first number one hit, topping Billboard's Active Rock chart this week. The track is the lead single from his second solo album, Apocalyptic Love.
Apocalyptic Love also entered the top five in seven countries outside the U.S.: Canada (number 2), Australia (2), New Zealand (1), Germany (5), France (7), Japan (2), Sweden (4) and Switzerland (3).
Along with the love from his fans, Slash's album has also garnered critical acclaim:
"Apocalyptic Love is at heart a collection of lean, high-octane rock-and-roll tunes built to be blasted out of open-top sports cars or, more suitably, open-air stadiums," noted Revolver.
Slash, along with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators - drummer Brent Fitz and bassist Todd Kerns - just wrapped up a European tour. They will begin their North American trek on July 12 in Portland, Oregon.
