Jessie J has been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit over the similarities between her hit "Domino" and "Bright Red Chords" by Will Loomis.

"Mr. Loomis never consented to the use of his song," his lawyer wrote in a statement, "and we look forward to obtaining an appropriate remedy from the court for this clear infringement."

"Will Loomis is a rising star in the music business. [Bright Red Chords] is among Loomis's most popular [songs]. It was written in 2008 and rapidly gained popularity," the statement added.

Writing credits for "Domino" are Jessica Cornish (a.k.a. Jessie J), Lukasz Gottwald, Claude Kelly, Max Martin and Henry Walter; the track is from her debut album Who You Are, released in 2011.

Loomis is seeking a jury trial and $150,000 in damages. Jessie J and her reps have yet to offer comment.
