Iggy Pop and Best Coast are joining forces to record a song for the TV show True Blood. The pair have recorded a track called "Let's Boot and Rally," that will appear in the episode airing on July 8.
"I've always liked to bite," Pop said in a press release of the collaboration. "I guess this makes me a singing vampire, does this mean I have a license to suck? Hi Bethany . . ."
"What an honor to get to sing with a legend, and for such a fantastic show," Best Coast said. "What's up Iggy!"
True Blood is famous for its choice of songs, especially in the end credits, which have been compiled into soundtracks featuring Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Gil Scott-Heron and many more.
