6/28/2012 1:55 PM ET

Health Net Inc. (HNT: Quote) issued a statement on the U.S. Supreme Court Decision regarding Affordable Care Act. The U.S. Supreme Court upheld key provisions of the Affordable Care Act or ACA, including the individual mandate requiring most Americans to have health insurance.

Health Net said in the statement that it has been a leader on the issue of health care reform, and our associates have been proactively working with government leaders, state agencies, brokers, members and other stakeholders to understand, shape and comply with the provisions of the ACA to ensure it is in the best position to provide our customers with affordable, quality care.

The company noted that it will continue working closely with its members to help them understand what the changes mean to them and how they and their families can make health care work for them.
